“Damien and tax hub.ie were superb. I needed a tax accountant to calculate my retirement income under different scenarios and it was very hard to find an experienced accountant to do such a job for an individual, not a firm. He was very helpful, efficient, clear and trustworthy.”
“Highly recommend, fast replies and very professional service 10/10!”
“I reached out to Damien after having an issue with my income tax return filing. Out of everyone I spoke with, he was by far the most helpful and responsive. He made the entire filing process completely seamless. Even after everything was finalized, Damien remained readily available to answer follow up questions and offer support. I couldn't be happier with the quality of service provided and would definitely recommend his expertise.”
Direct statutory answers to high-intent questions regarding Irish tax filings, 4-year refund lookbacks, and filing obligations.
Under Section 865 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, statutory tax claims must be made within 4 years from the end of the relevant tax year. In 2026, you can submit claims for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Any unclaimed tax relief from 2021 or earlier is permanently lost after 31 December 2025.
The standard paper return deadline is 31 October 2026. However, as an authorised Revenue Tax Agent using Revenue Online Service (ROS), Irish Tax Hub clients benefit from the extended electronic filing deadline, which typically falls in mid-November 2026 for both the Form 11 filing and payment of preliminary tax.
Under Section 822 TCA 1997, if you arrive in Ireland to take up residence or depart Ireland with the intention of residing permanently abroad, you can apply for split-year treatment. Employment earnings prior to arrival or after departure are exempt from Irish income tax, preventing double taxation and frequently triggering substantial refunds.
If after reviewing your documentation we determine that your selected package does not match your circumstances, we will reassign you to the appropriate plan and credit the difference. If our service cannot assist your filing, we issue a 100% full refund with zero questions asked.
File your Form 11, claim 4 years of backdated reliefs, or navigate property and cross-border taxes with complete confidence. Initial enquiry is completely free.
